This is one of the most underrated ships from the prequels, also, FIRST COMMENT!!!

Maybe this is more accurate, but it just looks kind of weird. I don't know, my perception of this ship has always been skewed since there's no good shot of it in the day in The Phantom Menace, and I've always looked at 7151 which is the only rendition of the ship I have in my collection, so anything that is not that will always look weird.

Just hopefully not at 14.61 cents a piece like this one was.

Saw this at a second hand store today. $300, out of the box, incorrect minifigs. Biggest ripoff I've seen. I definitely did not 100% positively didn't buy it. (I did because I thought it was worth something)

I love it! A set with studs showing. It's not afraid to admit it's made of bricks that connect.

Alright, we've got a single unique element and nothing else makes the cut:

Unique:
44375 6x6 dish with Sith Infiltrator print in light bluish grey x1

Not the my proudest acquisition. I missed out on the 2007 remake, so I told myself I wouldn't miss out on the next one. This 2011 edition left a lot to be desired. Aside from the heavily studded look, apparently the whole front of the ship will loosely flap about if the ship isn't kept upright. Not such a good design for storage of equipment! But hey! At least I have a proper Sith Infiltrator (named the Scimitar in the EU) in my collection and at least it isn't the absolute hot plastic garbage that is the original 7151 .

This model shares various similarities with 75284 Knights of Ren Transport Ship, the most notable being their adequate outward appearance but almost total lack of internal detail.

If I had the money to get every set I want, I would get the fourth Sith Infiltrator, from 2015. It's a very good model with a lot of good features. Maybe I'd get the second one, from 2007. It's very small, sleek, and swooshable. Maybe even the first one, from 1999, because of the '99 first-wave Star Wars nostalgia. But not this one, the third one, from 2011. It just doesn't look very good, either in appearance or in features or in swooshability.

Eh it's kind of canon for this ship though, I remember the Cross-Section books showed the long bow section is mostly there to stash his speeder and probe droids and all the living space is just around the cockpit. Still though, kind of boring in Lego terms.

"US$69.99" hehe, nice.

Funnily enough I think both the 2007 and 2015 versions are better than this one. Guess it's 'cause they're a bit smoother and sleeker around the nose.

They may be slicker, but they also use a lot of curved slopes which isn't accurate to the ship at all. The front part is very angular, with almost entirely straight lines, which this version does best.

By in United States,

This post made me realize that I have a bunch of the parts for this in a used lot. It's definitely not complete (this lot is awful in terms of completion), but I probably have a few of the figures, and could probably MOC up something better if I feel like it...

Ah, for the days when every dark Force wielder having a signature craft wasn’t a tiresome trope.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Honestly I like this over 75096 - the studded surfaces may not be smooth, but they're so even and linear they look sleeker to my eye than the jumble of curves that replaced them. Still happy to have this on my shelves.

That Padme torso should work for my castle collection, time to add it to the ole Bricklink list....

Thankful it isn't outrageously expensive too! Bonus for a new 10 year old Star Wars torso. Lol

By in Turkey,

I don't have any version of this ship but if I had to chance I'ld choose this one. Definetly an improvement over the first one and the nose doesn't look uneven and bumpy like the others. Nonetheless, some slopes here and there wouldn't hurt.

And the cloaking device, which is what gives it the 'infiltrator' moniker.

By in Netherlands,

This was a great version of the Sith Infiltrator. The second version was a bit weird.

By in France,

I was so excited when I saw Lego was releasing a new version, as I had missed the previous one. And purchased it on day 1. But a few years later, when another came out from Billund, I couldn't help but adding a few tiles on the main front hull cover, just to make mine sleeker. I still love it. And the minifig selection too.

Gravatar
By in Norway,

The minifig selection for the past two Sith Infiltrators makes me think it's just standing in for the royal Naboo spaceship, which I guess LEGO will never bother to make.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Since I can’t really think of much to say about the ship itself, wasn’t this the first time Darth Maul got his horns?

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Those stickers have been put on as well as I put mine on when I’m in a rush.

By in Netherlands,

Very underrated set. Was able to get one years after release still for retail value. Very happy to own one :)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

There were so many great sets that year including the 7962 pod racers and 7964 Republic Frigrate that this set was overlooked as just a bit too small for any internal space which is a shame.

I would very much want a new one. Wait, we can choose stuff from 2011!

By in United Kingdom,

I had the 7663 version of this ship, which I was perfectly happy with at the time; though I have to admit, it does suffer a little in comparison to later versions. Looking at the main images, I'm not sure I have a preference, build-wise, between today's RSotD and its successor; they both have strengths and weaknesses, to my eye.

What I do like better about this version, though, is the minifigure selection. I may have had three classic Qui-Gon minifigures back in the day, but he's also my favourite character from the prequels so I can't ever say no to his inclusion; Padmé was a nice update over the 1999 version, and the only time this outfit of hers appeared in a non-Podracer set; and I believe this is still, to this day, the only set that Captain Panaka has ever appeared in (though his skin tone does look a little too light here...?). Definitely an improvement in that regard over its predecessors that only included Maul himself!

Although really, all four versions of the ship are missing something. I think if Lego is ever going to make a new version, it definitely needs to include a working cloaking device for maximum accuracy to the source material...

By in El Salvador,

YOOOOO This set is so special to me. As a 7yo in 2012 this was top notch lego. 1 set I wanted, and I wanted it BAD. also thought it was like the biggest coolest set ever, like second only to the death star XD. Got it for Christmas that year and it was actually my first ever Star Wars set. (alongside 2012 Desert Skiff set) man the memories with this. My copy is so battered now. Can't believe It's almost been 10 years!

@Brickalili:
Excluding the UCS Darth Maul bust, yes. Savage Opress also got horns that year. Then the next year anyone who bought this set solely for the horned Maul got kicked in the teeth when they released one as a polybag minifig.
