By in United States,

Don't know anything about this set, but Spider-Man 2 is arguably still the best Spider-Man movie even though he's not set against the rest of the Marvel universe (one name drop of Doctor Strange withstanding), and the train sequence is fantastic.

Agree with @MCLegoBoy. It's easy to poke fun at the movie's sometimes-cheesy comic book action moments, or Tobey Macguire's age/acting style, but if you can look past that and see the deeper themes, it's easily one of the greatest superhero movies of all time.

I never owned this set, but after watching Spider-Man 2 last year, seeing this set pop up as the RSOTD brought a big smile to my face.

By in Venezuela,

Includes two obviously-radioactive spiders to make even more Spider-Men!

Still one of the best Doc Oc minifigures too.

It warms my heart to read these words; I always feel the need to suppress my admiration for the Sam Raimi Spider-Man films (well, the first two, anyway) as their appeal seems to have been lost to time.

Even after two (three?) reboots, they still stand out.

Oh, and this set looks fantastic too!

Edit: wait, does it feature a mix of yellows & fleshies...??

By in Australia,

What really disturbs me is that on the part list, the businessman's head and torso are one piece.
Or is that just because this is a Junior set?
Edit: It's not a Junior set, apparently.

Just fleshies, Same prints as some Yellow heads:).

@Unusual_User_Name
What makes this look like a junior set?

I always liked this set, It would be nice if Lego would make a new subway.

By in Turkey,

This looks like a really great set. The train and the figures are just right.

By in United Kingdom,

I was given this at the time of release, and is one of those sets I keep bagged to rebuild now and again. Great playability and a memorable Doctor Octopus figure.

By in Estonia,

Subway sets are sorely missed in my LEGO City. There have been all sorts of trains (too few in past decades) but besides this one never once a subway/metro/underground. To think of all the uncharted spaces under your bed, the completely unused levels LEGO has never addressed, yet there are subways in all major cities all over the world. The new parts needed would be larger train windows, sliding doors, carriage ends with doors and escalators and chrome silver recolors of a handful pieces (bouq.stem for turnstile, bars etc)

Glad that I don't live in Forest Hills... It would've been quite a trip.

Pretty sure most people agree on the significance of the first 2 Sam Raimi spider-man movies. Fortunately:)

I personally have the Tom Holland Spider-Man as my favorite overall, but the Sam Rami films still stand out as probably the best stand alone take on the character. The PS2/Xbox video game for Spider Man 2 is a classic too.
