By in Australia,

I didn't buy any of this range of Castle sets ... and I really, really regret it now.

I like the look of it, even though it looks kind of basic. The siege weapons look quite cool.

11 minifigs? Not shabby for a $40 set. And the set itself doesn't look too bad either. It's like a super battle pack where it makes sense to get more than one and have some Battle of Helm's Deep action before LEGO acquired the license.

Parts Analysis: the doors are rare in reddish brown, only appearing in this set and the 2nd edition of Hogwarts Castle. They are worth approximately $1.39 used and over $13 new. The 4x12 plates are rare in dark green (3 sets), 47456 is rare in pearl gold (3 sets), and the spiky bionicle shoulder armor is rare in pearl dark grey (2 sets). Nice parts pack for chunky castle pieces, especially for only $40 (hint hint, Lego!).

2006... the height of Lego's "Special Edition" craze. Besides this set, there were 6212-1, 7712-1 , and 7905-1.

A revival of a Castle theme feels long overdue at this point.

This set was a Toys R Us exclusive in the USA, and frequently sold out. It was popular for good reason as it had a great minifigure compliment and with a couple copies you could build up a sizable wall and battlements.

Excuse me? 11 Minifigures, a decently large Castle wall build, and a bunch of neat side builds, all for 40$? Now this is a proper battle pack!

Ah, yes, original content! Those were the times...

@LegoDavid 52 US$ dolars in today money - without tax - as US prices are always shown without local tax :) - so you need to count in tax as well to 52 dolars, but anyway 11 minifigs is good deal

One of the best sets of the last wave of KK2. I don’t have the set unfortunately.

Don’t remember if this scene ever actually happened in the Knights Kingdom storyline, which was getting a bit patchy by this point, but the set itself is fantastic. A vast array of knights on both sides, some cool little siege vehicles and a castle modular enough that it can be connected with others should you wish. I was thrilled when I finally managed to get my hands on one of these

Ahh this set.. I always called it "Ultimate battle wall"as a kid. I have fond memories playing with it. Hours of joy and ïntense" battle reenactment. This brings back so much good memories.

my complaint with the older castle sets, going back to the '80s: not enough shields!

Great set, from a time where LEGO got back on track.

I never had any sets from this time but would buy this nowadays.

Castle and Pirate themes are woefully underrated and need reintroduction to a new generation.
