Not quite as legendary at the 07 big Creator house, but good.

Back when buildings were more than facades...
Also, great parts pack!

OMG...A RSOTD I actually have and have built!

Hallllllllllllllelujah!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I still haven’t come across a RSotD I actually own. snarf, snarf.
I guess that’s a result of my super-long dark ages.

By in United States,

I loved these Creator house sets, and I wish they’d release more of them again. This was one of the few that I regrettably did not purchase

I agree, I miss the days of the genuine Creator houses. I always thought the roof of this one was interesting - and the only set I can think of with a similar method for opening the roof was this year's Bookshop. Sadly I don't have this set together anymore, although I'm pretty sure its many tan pieces largely ended up in a train station I built.

By in Netherlands,

Need more of such sets, Modulars are NOT the same.

By in Hungary,

Too normal.
Next!

By in Australia,

Most of these creator houses were pretty darn fantastic. I like this one for the duck pond.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

It's odd that LEGO don't have a set like this permanently on sale, maybe changing the style every couple of years.
You'd think a standard house made of mostly standard bricks would always sell well.

By in Finland,

The small Creator buildings of today are a mess. This looks clean and beautiful - a real feast for the eyes.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Technically, I don’t own this but it is in my household. My brother is the Creator and 3 in 1s and I like to stick with Star Wars. I always thought it should have more minifigs though...

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

I wish we had more fully-enclosed houses like this!

Gravatar
By in Germany,

always hunting for the old classic houses of Lego. Still miss this one, but got a few others. I agree with others: modulars are nice for big rows in big cities, but we also need small houses for the countryside and a more lively neighbourhood in our town-layouts.

And yes, these kind of houses should be produced again...

By in Netherlands,

What a pleasant looking house.

Gravatar
By in Italy,

I always looked at this as a good mansion house.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Top set. Would have been an instant buy for me back in the day. And nowadays, too!

Gravatar
By in Australia,

This was a great set but, if my memory is correct, only when viewed from this angle. The other two walls were solid walls completely devoid of detail. Did love these Lego houses though.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Such a satisfying set, it was a favorite of my then 10 year old daughter.

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

I originally bought this as a parts pack, mainly for the tan bricks, which used to be a rarer color.
But after building it, I really liked it, and ended up buying several other creator buildings after that.
31012 Family house ; 7346 Seaside house ; 5891 Apple tree house 5766 Cabin ; ... regretting I never got the 4954 Town House.
They aren't modulars, but had a right to exist offered a good alternative at a lower price point.
Rather have these "complete" buildings then the facades the creator line is offering the last couple of years..

You are correct... one wall is completely solid, like the sides of a modular ; the last wall has limited details, a chimney, like the less detailed back of a modular..

When I came out of my dark ages I discovered the older Creator Houses and picked up a few on eBay, They remind me of my younger Lego days and the houses I would have built if there had been a wider range of bricks back then! I think they are lovely.

Are you referring to 4954 Model Town House or 4956 House? The former is definitely legendary, even more so than my personal favorite 4886 Building Bonanza, of which the latter is little more than a rehash.

By in United Kingdom,

Super parts pack! Mine now exists as part of a moc modular based on the older Friends cupcake cafe.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Lovely colours, I'd move in right away and roast the duck!

By in Norway,

Have this one, bought it mostly for parts. The color scheme always reminded me of "Berli Byggebrikker", a rather obscure building system also made in Denmark around the 50s-60s. Never seen it for real and don't know much about it apart from a short description on http://www.architoys.net/toys/toypages/berli.html - I found a close-up on https://img.tradera.net/images/892/332806892_f8aa194a-7116-4c0a-a628-9e3d3d4888ef.jpg showing how the pieces are joined with H-shaped metal clips in the corners.

This is the 2nd set I ever bought - the clean lines and nice design attracted the attention of a non-LEGO adult as I was accidentally passing through the toy aisle. The interior is completely empty, but you could always add your own creative furnishings. I really think the earlier Creator houses were superior to the ones they have been coming out with recently - Lego seems to have moved towards a chaotic and reduced style which does not appeal to me as much.

Gravatar
By in United States,

It makes me remember me and my brother playing with this set! Nice!

By in United States,

One of many beautiful Creator Houses from that era... I really regret being so theme - locked to SW only back then : (

By in Costa Rica,

Yes Please LEGO!

By in United States,

Quite a nice little home

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

You know... I was just looking at Creator houses earlier this week. There's something about the style that appeals to me, it would be kinda nice to get one of them as a place for my 'spare' minifigures to live... so it's funny, to me, to see this one come up just two days after I was looking at it.

Not my most favourite of the designs I browsed through, but still a very nice house, nonetheless ^^

By in Switzerland,

I very like this model and I bought 2 exemplars.
The 3rd alternate model with the pool is lovely.

I more a fan of such model as the new modular houses which were released in 2017 and after.

And yes, @LegoSonicBoy and @Johan_V_D_, LEGO has produced some very nice models.

My preferred is the 4886 Building Bonanza (maybe because this was the 1st one we bought with my wife).
Then the 4954 Model Town House despite it has no interior.
The 5771 Hillside House with the doorbell / dog sound brick https://brickset.com/sets/containing-part-4625255
and 5891 Apple Tree House with its earth blue roof.

4954 of course.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I found 4954 used and complete with instructions for $50 with plans to sell it, but after my 5 year old saw it sitting in my office, it became his. He's built (and rebuilt it thanks to the 2 year old) several times this year.

These creator houses are great and mostly seemed to fall in my 20 year dark period.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I loved this series of creator houses (and bought most of them at the time) they appealed to my wife, so she ended up building them,... the sets that finally got her into Lego!

I second that! Can’t wait for the day I feel enticed again to buy a Creator house. Does anyone really like the modern ones when they see this beauty?
