73% hit rate for town recently.
8/11.
Looks like we are getting an improved version this year!
This kind of set is very playable, I anticipate a very reasonable success for set 60258!
This pleases me.
Ah yes, the ANWB again. I remember when the set of the day was 1590 Breakdown Assistance, I did research to find out what the ANWB was and told about it in the comments, and we all got into an educated conversation about it. The good old days in the previous decade. : )
That structure looks so cool! I'm actually inspired to build a little something similar right now. Not exactly the best timing for me though since I'm still reeling from the news after pulling my Kobe Bryant minifigure from storage :(
I so want that Wegenwacht piece!
Oh look, another Jack!
Another beautiful mid-90s Town set that was a special release which made it almost-impossible to get.
I just want those street signs in the background.
I wasn't aware this set existed, though I don't remember seeing it in the U.S.
And it must be a big Town for Huwbot to not have found his way to the Clickits neighborhood yet.
It just keeps coming. I wouldn't mind seeing classic space too.
A week ago I had to call those guys twice in one day... A flat battery in the morning and a flat tire in the afternoon. I don't have this set though, came out in my dark ages
It's always so weird when you're on an English website looking at Danish toys and you suddenly see Dutch names everywhere.
This is a good set though, lots of pieces.

"Are they AAA affiliated?"
Please don’t set off that debate again!

Pretty deluxe, looks easy enough to piece together too.
That structure on the far right, the one that the minifig with the sunglasses is speaking into, is a roadside telephone that used to line our highways in case you broke down and had to call these guys. A couple of years ago they removed all of them because everyone carries cellphones these days. Some miscreants stole a couple because they're somewhat of a collector's item.
I grew up during the time this set was released, and I remember my friend having this set. I think it was a limited release, only available in the ANWB shops. These cars all being 4-wide is really nostalgic for me, very simple but effective. Also, very playable. The 8-wide cars these days use a lot more pieces for not much more playability.
All those tiny details, fantastic! E.g. the hood of the blue car can be opened to reveal some kind of engine. Or those parts at the end of the truck's ramp, which I think are a pretty smart way of making it easier for vehicles to roll onto the ramp! Sadly, it seems they forgot to flip those parts in the official shots. Wasn't expecting this from such an old set, thou.
We’ll get the whole town sooner or later if this keeps up!
Great set, lots of tools, good vehicles and even a good old yellow Callbox "praatpaal" that used to stand near highways to call those ANWB guys if you were stranded next to the road. (see the guy with black torso on the right)
4 wide cars that fit on 6 wide recovery vehicle are just nice, nowadays would be a lot bigger with 6+ wide City vehicles and 8+ wide Speed Champions.
As people have stated before me this is all great and good plus that the new 60258 is a nice replacement.
Didn't know there was a set that had the Dutch language and other Dutch terms printed on its bricks.
This. Is. Awesome.
This is a fantastic example of the Classic Town aesthetic. I've never seen a copy of this here in the US, but it really takes you back to mid- '90s Lego. It's kind of remarkable that they built all this with only 255 pieces.
This limited release promotional set appears to be the last ever to feature the simple hinged opening bonnet feature. This was commonplace in the '80s, but I think it last appeared in a general release set in 1989. Why did TLG drop that feature long before the end of the classic Town line?
