Sooooo, this counts as Constraction, right? Or at least, it can be argued as such, yes?

Oh yes, This set, the pillar in the center got chewed up by my dog, truly tragic, I do find how noticeable the pieces of this set are in my collection though

Truly a nostalgic one for me! The Buzz Lightyear figure never had much appeal to me, but this guy I always wanted, had such a BIONICLE feel.

@MCLegoboy Constraction is a whole separate thing with it’s own building system. This is just an oversized brick built figure

Looking at the set inventory, seems like the mouth grille and the chest logo are actually printed on their pieces. I'd assumed they were stickers, thats actually kind of neat

One of the last Lego sets I got before my kinda 'dark ages'! Toy Story 2 has huge huge HUGE nostalgia for me, it was the first time I ever remember seeing a movie in the cinema, and - despite, when I first saw it as a kid, being low-key traumatised when he blasted Buzz to pieces in the opening - I quickly developed a particular soft spot for Zurg; one that only grew once I discovered he was played very comedically in the 2D-animated Buzz Lightyear of Star Command TV series. When this set came around it was, basically, a given that I would buy it.

That said, I wasn't wholly impressed by the build, especially for his lower-body. Those hollow semicircle bits were just placed around a single pillar to support them, nothing else, and that felt like a bit of a let-down there. Still, it was a cool set to me; and not least because of the amount of (then uncommon) purple pieces it contained ^^

By in Finland,

Very effective and unique character design. What's especially interesting is that this is basically a CCBS style figure made out of System elements.

I picked this up in a charity shop a week before Christmas.
A couple more TS sets appeared under the tree

That ball launcher came with quite a few of the 2008 BIONICLE sets

And then there's Zurg.

By in United States,

I love all four Toy Story movies, but Toy Story 2 holds a special place in my heart. It felt like that's when they finished bringing the core group of characters together, and Zurg was an awesome secondary villain.

When this set came out, I chased all over to every Walmart in the area (the only LEGO Store in the state wouldn't open for a few more months) and bought at least ten copies. Besides the large quantity of dark-purple parts, it came with a Claw Alien, which is one of the two most common minifigs in my collection. I can't remember which I have more of, but between that minifig and the S1 Robot, I have over 100 of one, and over 70 of the other.
