Ahh, A cold-weather focused set, just before the first frost advisiory of the 2019-2020 year for my area.

It is fascinating to see the evolution of LEGO Christmas tree designs from this set and through many other iterations up through the latest version in the Gingerbread House. Even within TLG, it is clear that there are many ways to interpret the same concept or object, and isn’t that what makes LEGO beautiful?

I'm more interested in the fact that it had over 300 pieces and only cost $15. Sounds like a steal compared to the modern ones.

I love how quaint this looks, almost like it came out in the 90’s rather than 2004.

Party like its 1987 with this one. Jokes aside, its a nice little seasonal brick-building set.

If past year was the 40th anniversary of the Lego Minifigures...how can be an Advent Calendar from 2004 without any minifigure???? It is unbelievable!!!

Love the nostalgia this brings. As @chrisaw said, feels more like early 90 than 00s. Maybe even late 80s! Ah.. <3

Am I the only one who would prefer this Advent calendar over the ones we get nowadays?

@Gremer: For one thing, keep in mind $15 in 2004 money is over $20 now. For another, this set has very basic parts while current advent calendars usually come with half a dozen minifigs. The Classic line has a more comparable inventory and still offers similar value.
