By in Latvia,

An awesome Technic set! That's something new for me, cuz I'm NOT a Technic fan nor builder

Oooo, lots of good memories of this one! Introduced the ball joint!

By in Latvia,

@lippidp actually, I don't think this was the set that introduced the ball joints, but it could be one of the first sets to use them

By in United States,

Wow that’s pretty cool looking. It looks like a model plane.

I wonder how many negative comments on this set there will be?? ;-)

By in Australia,

^ It's too yellow, and there's too many studs...

Sorry, couldn't help myself.

By in United States,

This was my last set before my dark ages. It was a fun build.

By in United States,

One of the first sets I pieced back together after my dark age. Love it.

@alyxavior @nashikens

Wow, talk about two contrasting comments right next to each other... Lol.

Huwbot's power is growing. Soon, like ultron before him, he will have many dozens of forms and bodies, all with his consciousness.

By in New Zealand,

One of the Best Technic sets ever! Hey Lego, I would buy a few of these.

By in Canada,

You can build this set in 36 steps (there are 18 steps in the instructions but there are sub-assemblies). Today that would be a 217 pages booklet!

By in Netherlands,

Another one from my collection. I use to add this one to the Artic sets. It fits in nicely with those. The only thing being that this set is yellow and Artic is mostly white.

By in Turkey,

I think this is a spectacular Technic set. It may not have many functions but the looks and the size is beautiful. I would definetly motorize it though.

By in United States,

I wanted this set so much as a kid. So, so much.

By in Czechia,

there you go guys! TECHNIC Figure. Happy now ? :)

By in United Kingdom,

I remember getting this set for Christmas and building it on the floor over the evening and into Boxing Day. I removed the ski gear and built tricycle landing gear for it, but the weight snapped the axles I used as uprights.

By in United Kingdom,

How much do those technic figures go for these days anyway?

Gravatar
By in Portugal,

Not much, my technic minifigs were all stolen (including this one) and I've been slowly buying them from various sources, you just have to be patient. This was my favorite technic set from when I was a kid, just assembled it this other day and it's still on my shelf alongside my (new hobby) RC planes :)

Got this as a kid. Loved it.

By in United Kingdom,

I have this one! LOVE classic studded technic. I would love a revival of it!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I have very fond memories of this set! ??

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Love it. Got it for Christmas back in the day.
Now THAT was what I call the Golden Age of LEGO.

By in Australia,

Found the unusual tail wing pieces in a large bulk lot I purchased for the kids, intrigued, I searched by element ID until I realised they were somewhat unique, and to my great pleasure found I had most of the parts! And so I emerged from my Dark Ages.

By in Netherlands,

Great Classic Technic set.

I actually love the studded look.

Those figures fit very well in those chairs, I still have one from an old powerboat set from late 90s.

By in United States,

This was such a great set--I rebuilt it and made a review of it recently. It's a littles simple compared to modern sets, but it absolutely still holds up, with lots of great Technic features!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Not only do we have this amazing set, I also have the retail display from this set which was cool in its own right with flashing lights and a rotating propellor. Shame I cannot add a picture/video in the comments.

By in United Kingdom,

Only the best is good enough. One of my own top five. Thanks HuwBot

Unique part - technic propeller 3 blade with gear only came in this set (apart from a service pack)
