Pretty nice random set there haha

By in United Kingdom,

An interesting set, and a vessel that could withstand a modernized version with 10 years of new parts & different building techniques.

I modified my own to introduce more tiles to the exterior dark red profiling.

This is the first model I can recall with a carrying handle, which was incorporated very neatly.

However there was still considerable bowing in the superstructure and I think more internal support was always needed.

^ And an official Acclimator model could be very interesting, too.

Revenge of the fifth.

Or is it revenge of Huwbot? Paying us back for all the great sets we’ve had the past week with his—unrandomness?

Yes that’s a word now.

"...& these blaster impact points on the bodies & the sandcrawler...uhh, I mean "random" sets chosen by Huw...too accurate for Tusken Raiders."

@Your future president "Revenge of the fifth" - that one has me on the floor.

You have a good sense of humor, man.

(Edit: This sounds sarcastic, but it's not - I really mean it.)

This set is really in need of a remake. A UCS model would be amazing.

By in Latvia,

I see the set with the scariest Minifigures head. This face means only one thing:

UNLIMITED POWER!

By in France,

Missed this one while it was on the shelves... I like it so much! Hope to see an update release soon... So canon.

I've not changed the algorithm, so it is pure coincidence that two SW sets have been picked this weekend!

Perhaps The Force is strong in the server room...

By in Netherlands,

I'd love to see a UCS version of this one.

By in Netherlands,

This was one of my favorite sets to play with as a child. I think it deserves an update, perhaps with the launch of the new Clone Wars season. An UCS model would be very cool.

Along with the ARC fighter I want this set so bad.

@Huw, don't worry, we know the Force is at play. *wink*

Good choice, Huwbot!

I feel like this is in need of a remake. After the Gunship, obviously. I think it could be done in such a cool way with the front really splitting in the middle, folding out - and having room for a few micro fighters.

By in Paraguay,

This set looks pretty great by nowadays standards, if it were redesigned, maybe the middle gaps could be minimized. I think that in 2008-10 the designs took a notable leap in quality.

The proportions of this set always bugged me. The main deck looks to 'fat' to capture the Venator shape. Would love to see Lego take this one on again.

There kind of is a UCS version available, albeit unofficial, in the form of Anio's excellent MOC. I bought his instructions and sourced the parts from my collection and through several Bricklink orders. The build is satisfying and the resulting model is awesome.

@yamaki -
The only time we had this set was 2009, the gunship we've had twice in the past 11 years, recently in 2013. I guess both need one, but this one takes priority over the gunship imo.

By in Finland,

i like how this set has a play feature that goes completely unmentioned in the official description and pictures: an escape pod.
