384 pieces for $50?! I guess wedge plates cost more to produce because that's crazy, even for a licensed set, and that's back when Lucasfilm wasn't under Disney. Does look like a pretty fun set though.

One of my favourite sets. I love blowing off the German fighter's wings.

By in Russian Federation,

Son, I'm sorry. They got us.

By in United States,

As close as Lego ever got to modern military. I'm frankly amazed they used the German cross on the stickers for this set. The biplane looks better than the fighter, but it's an iconic moment from the movie and a fun-filled set in its own right.

By in Norway,

The pop-off wings are neat - not only is it a fun play feature, but it also lets you store the model in a quarter of the space. A such I'd love to see more lego planes with easily-detachable wings.

By in Puerto Rico,

My mom had gotten sick of me breaking LEGO sets so when I got this one, she made me glue it. I have no recollection of the wings on the german plane being able to pop off. Figures.

I totally forgot about this set! I’m kinda sad I never picked it up. But I already had a Henry Jones, Sr. fig, and although the comments here are fairly kind, they most definitely were not so in other AFOL corners of the interwebs when this first launched.

Hope they add sea gulls if ever rereleased

By in United States,

Easily one of my favorite sets of this era. I've still got it hanging from my ceiling.

@oldfan Can you imagine if LEGO had gone the distance and put the swastika on the plane trying to shoot them down?

@MCLegoboy Regarding your first comment, Actually the Power Miners Cave Crusher (8708-1) had only 259 parts, now I know that it also had a rock monster and BIG plastic wheels but it was not a licensed set, and if you look at other sets of 2009-2010, sets were unusually expensive those years.

Anyway, Great set, I just love all the Indiana Jones sets, I own all of them other then the mine cart set, the Cemetery Battle set, and the comic-con set:)

But believe it or not I've only seen the first movie;(

By in France,

Wow. I love it. Never saw before but, licensed, two nice planes, good minifigs, all that is needed to play Indy's adventures back again! I really like it. Oh... Just as for Steamboat Willie, till I noticed the steep price.
Edit : boy I really like it nonetheless!

By in United States,

All three of the sets from the Last Crusade are chase scenes.

By in Italy,

I have this beautiful set. I bought it for mounting the planes in my Indiana Jones Williams Pinball. The result is fantastic!!!

By in Finland,

I bought this kinda randomly after I had submitted the fact that none of the figs are rare or exclusive. I was positively surprised by the good design of both planes: the building process was enjoyable, I love the small storage compartment of the biplane and of course the blow-up function of the fighter plane. The planes also look good on display.

@ArielHairRaph there is a lego seagull piece but as it was only in a collectible mini-figure sea captain set it is rather expensive. I think I paid £2 for a single once. Would be nice to have a flock though to recreate the scene.

Me, ten years ago: I'm not wasting my money on Legos anymore. I have more important things to do.

Me, today: If this cost just a little less on the aftermarket ....

Crazy how modern themes like Overwatch get so much hate for being to violent or Hidden Side for being so satanic when you've got sets like this with literal Nazi's in them. At least LEGO decided to cut the swastikas from 7683 before launch, imagine the backlash *that* would've got them!

While I've rewatched Raiders and Temple of Doom a few times I haven't seen The Last Crusade since I was 9. It's a really good testament to the films quality that I can hear and recognize all the quotes people are throwing around in the comments after all this time, despite not thinking about the film often on my own.

@ZeeEssBS Funny you mention Power Miners, I was just browsing through which Monsters and Crystals came in each set to figure out their rarity (including and excluding combiner models.) Surprisingly, only one green crystal came in one of the sets (and by extension Boulderox,) giving you two if you built all combis. That's crazy!
