By in Australia,

It just screams, early 00s Technic, doesn't it?

^ I dunno. It reminds me more of early 2000 Clikets sets.

What do you mean that’s not how it works?

My friend had this set. Cool colors, pearly.

These have always been interesting sets to me. Those busts, such as that Maul one, too!

My bro had a technic pit droid way back when that I always thought was the coooolest set ever. I still do think it's pretty nice...

By in Turkey,

I remember these, the first wave was amazing. I even got the 8002 Destroyer Droid, which by the way, still looks menacing.

I’n not interested in the Prequils, but this is a pretty cool looking robot/mech taken out of context.

I really was hoping for the new buildable super battle droid but does anyone know if the set was actually released?

Discovered these by accident when emerging from Dark Ages about 3 or 4 years ago and had to get the whole set.
A must if you love Technic and SW.
Agree with Lego.Lord, 8002 Destroyer Droid is probably the best if the bunch.

By in United Kingdom,

I've got Jango, Vader, Pit Droid and the Battle Droid in my collection. Would like this reviewed set plus Destroyer Droid, Stormie, Artoo, and Threepio to complete the set :-)

By in United Kingdom,

I always loved the aesthetic of these early technic Star Wars sets. Only ever had the Battle Droid and Pit Droid myself (though Threepio, Jango and Vader were all very high on my 'wanted' list when I was younger!), but they always seemed pretty neat to me... even if the two I had didn't have a whole lot of play value beyond their intended function of folding away and then popping open again.

You guys reckon the Destroyer Droid was the best out of them? Hm... my curiosity is piqued xD

That said... the fact that this one seemed to be missing its head has always struck me as a little odd. I know the SBDs have heads melded into the front of the chest armour; but even then it doesn't quite stand out as distinct on this model. Might just be me, though.

Now if only we could get the minifig versions to be Metal Blue again.
