My bro had this when we were like five.

Ah, the days when you got 2 starfighters for about a third of what 1 costs now.

Everything about the prequel trilogy stinks. Even the sets. Though, the jedi star fighters are, at least, cool, and would have worked well in the good films.

Now that ther is a contradictory comment...

It’s all terrible... but somehow it’s still cool?

I believe one of my friends had this.

In the top right corner it looks like Darth Vader is drowning in lava. (I believe that is who it is. I’ve never watched Star bores so I don’t know.)

I own this set and to be honest it really isn't that bad, It was a bit fragile and only the droid head could sit on top but I still like it!
The new versing is better but remember this one came out in 2005 and there were not as many parts to work with at the time.
And even though I prefer the original trilogy movies I actually like some of the prequel trilogy and the clone wares sets better, like the (75021) Republic Gunship.

This is a cool set. I have one assembled on display, one MISB, and three in open boxes. It goes well with the Ultimate Space battle set 7283 that is also assembled on display.

Jedi Starfighters are just pretty cool in general, as Lego spaceships go. I picked up some of the more recent ones, that came out in the last couple of years, and they're pretty awesome.

The only downside to this set in my eye is that the clips for the opening wings are really easy to break. The plastic is just a little too thin, and this happens with every color that piece comes in, even current versions. It's annoying, too, because when you go to replace them, you have to either remove and reapply your stickers to the new parts, or you have to correct the stickers applied by someone else. But this set was, and still is, awesome. As annoying as stickers can be, I liked that these had battle damage applied to them.

I love the fire hose nozzle in the wing.

I got this years after it came out. Was a very good set when it came out but I sold it after I got the 2014 Jedi Interceptor and Vulture Droid sets.

I love the ETA 2 ACTIS CLASS INTERCEPTOR.

I feel like, nowadays, the Vulture Droid would have a built-in mechanism to make its head move to the forward position... rather than this set's design of 'pop the head off and re-attach it at the front' xD

That said: I liked this set - particularly Anakin's fighter - a lot at the time, but in hindsight I can recognise that the wings, in particular, carried a lot of design weaknesses... that I presume later sets of this ship fixed, though I never had any of them myself. Still, for Lego's first attempt at the design, it wasn't at all bad ^^

I remember this one being the first Revenge of the Sith set to be released, something like a month and a half before the movie. I remember going to Toys R Us on the off chance they had it (after a hot tip from FBTB) and, lo and behold, they did. I tried to figure out the movie's plot from this one set, and, unsurprisingly, was unsuccessful.

Woah... bigtime flashbacks for me! I got this when I was three and LOVED it; it was super awesome to play with the two fighters and have them battle! To those who don't own it, I highly recommend it; it has great play value.

@Your future president that is indeed Darth Vader. However, it might be more accurate to say that he is rising from lava.
