I kind of wish they'd bring back the Movie Studio sets, just because they have the potential to cover so many themes that get neglected from year to year. Don't have room for Pirates, Space and Castle sets? How about a Movie Studios with a Pirate Ship movie set, a Space Ship movie set and a Castle movie set?

I always wanted this set! The playability and creativity of the functions seemed so cool.

How well did the explosion feature work? And how much of a hassle was it to put everything back together again?

The explosion feature worked surprisingly well; it uses a couple of spring pistons to jolt the bank upwards. It’s not too hard to assemble either; it’s just a door, some windows and a couple of columns with a roof on top.

It’s showing its age in terms of overall appearance, but the mechanism is still a solid one. I’d love to see it resurrected for a modern set.

What, no jokes of how this isn't a true Studios set because it isn't some cheap polybag?

I always thought this one was neat even though I never had it.

My favorite kind of studio. :)
Still not as good as Tree 2 though.

Good luck standing the director's chair on its own like in the photo.

I loved the Studios line, and I loved this set even more (along with the rotating backdrop one it was my favourite).

I really wish they'd resurrect it in this era of The Lego Movie and video capability that everyone has on their mobiles.

I love the studios theme, I think it was a very innovative theme and I think LEGO should do it again.
