Today's random set is 6661 Mobile TV Studio, released in 1989. It's one of 23 Town sets produced that year. It contains 78 pieces and 1 minifig.
It's owned by 3070 Brickset members. If you want to add it to your collection you might find it for sale at BrickLink or eBay.

Although I did not get this Town theme set, it evokes strong reminders of my past with all of my 80's LEGOLAND Town sets. In my humble opinion, when the sets really were something. Countless hours spent in my parents basement on my four foot by eight foot green painted plywood play surface - I had the whole town built and rebuilt connected by tons of baseplates and road plates. Yes, the good ole days!
Another lovely set I own. Actually, I wanted one of my Lego houses to have a patio umbrella, so I dismantled the satellite dish on top of this van. And you know, I never did put it back.

A TV station van seems like a no-brainer for the City Great Vehicles line. I'm surprised they haven't remade this yet.
This is the first set I truly remember getting. Still have it to this day also. Love love love it!
Didn't manage to own these when young it was always on wanted list... :D But now it just brings nice memories of seeing these in the Lego booklets back then...
One set from my youth! A lovely little set, that I enjoyed a whole lot.
And as 18000pieces says, indeed one that could easily be remade today.
I've still got this one sitting on top of a book shelf in my living room. One of my favourites.
I built and rebuilt this little van hundreds of times! I miss the days when you could memorise a build and not rely on the instructions.

A fantastic little set. Parts of this set have been used for countless constructions over the years. Until about two years ago, when I rebuilt most of the original sets. This one, among many others, is on display ever since.
I remember purchasing this while in Europe. Loved this set and wish I could get it back.

I wish they would do a whole news theme. It would be a good sub-theme for city.
Clearly remember when Iron Curtain falls and my family left Czechoslovakia for first shopping in Austria back in 1990. Our first stop was in Shopping Centre Nord in the suburb of Vienna when my father bought me this set. That was the first time when I visited such a huge Lego shop full of 1980's sets. A really strong moment for little kid. I always remember this moment when I see this TV van.

I really liked that blocky shape of it back then, I remember trying to copy it in different colors, each time I got new printed 1x4 panels^^
There really was good amount of printed parts in this, including an inverted slope with monitor that can't be seen in the box image. Also the ability to store the large camera inside the back compartment was surely appreciated (although it's a bit of a tight fit).
There was also a promo variant of this set (same box and number though oddly) that has 'WDR' ('West-Deutscher Rundfunk') printed on the panels.
I wanted to be a cameraman when growing up, so I loved this set. It had pride of place in my town, filming a news report about a car accident.
Good set.
A charming build; camera operator/driver both fit in the vehicle, nice printed pieces, satellite dish, and a smart colour scheme. And, just 4 studs wide.
