By in Australia,

Yay, more Throwbots! I never did get Spark, he's about the only 2nd gen Throwbot that I wanted, but never did get around to.

Aside from the purple parts, there was nothing special about this one. Ordinary anatomy; he just got stuck with one of those wing pieces that were ubiquitous at the turn of the century on his arm. Suddenly, he is "SPARK"! Glad I missed out on him. Besides, Roboriders were all the rage in 2000!

^ I really liked Robo Riders, too. I had the Power and Frost. I thought they were pretty cool--and mind you I was in my 20's when I got them. They made great desk decorations and were actually fairly slick looking as motorcycles, especially Power.

By in Denmark,

I keep getting this and the teal Slizer to use in BIONICLE MOCs. In-story, you can have Toa of Gravity and of Jungle, but only the early BIONICLE sets had purple and teal in them...you can still only get two official teal masks (the Miru and Kakama) and I think only one in purple (the Pakari)...unless of course, you paint them.

But anyway, yeah, Spark Slizer is great if you want to MOC up a Toa of Gravity.

@Lego Lord Mayorca ... well, the Slizer line has popped up twice recently, but I don't think the Random Daily Set has featured the RoboRiders at all. So we should be due.

Get on that, Huwbot.

By in United States,

I only vaguely remember the pre-Bionicle Technic sets when they were new, but after I discovered BrickLink 5 years ago and started filling out my early Bionicle collection, I also started getting into Roboriders and Slizers/Throwbots, mostly because they were cheap and had interesting colors and pieces, not unlike the first year of Bionicle. Spark is now the only Throwbot I don't have. It's surprisingly hard to find in the US.

Haha how random is this? This is the only Silzer set I had.
