An interesting ship for sure. The assymetry made it really unique and there really isn't any set like it.

I think it might be nice if LEGO made more sets from the EU as there are some really nice ship designs in it that would make for some great sets.

I got this one at retail back in 2008. It's a cool looking ship with neat features and great minifigs. Although Starkiller's face and hair aren't quite right, his torso is excellent. Juno is cool and the Damaged Vader minifig is still amazing.

I do have a few issues with the build, though. One is the fact that the landing gear sucks at staying retracted. There's not enough pin friction to keep the legs stowed away. The other issue I have is the fact that the flaps on top hiding all the hidden compartments aren't held down by anything but gravity. Everything will fly out if you tilt the ship or flip it upside-down. Both of these factors make this ship not very swoosh-friendly. It's a nice display model though.

I wasn't able to get this when it came out, but ordered the Galen Merek minifig later because I'm a huge fan of the game.

My alltime favorite Lego Star Wars starship. I love the unique shape and look as well as its awesome features. Plus, any set that integrates the good ole planet buster missile launcher is a true winner in my book.

By in France,

I have purchased this one on ebay on 2014, a bit more expensive than when it was available on L @S of course. But for sure I have no regrets, this set is fantastic. I had been looking at pictures of it in Lego SW DK books for hours, thinking it was a beauty but wondering what it could really be like. But while building and discovering all its secrets, so many action and play features (hidden weapon and flick fire missiles compartments, big technic "automatic" canon, gear for winglets and thruster) I knew it was something special. The three exclusive minifigs are excellent, and it looks like no other. I can understand some don't like its asymmetric shape, but that is why I like it so much. One of the best in my collection, designers did such a great job.

I second everything ApolloVI says on this kit.
I built this when it came out...AMAZING Darth Vader damaged fig, Juno and Starkiller are great to have too.
The build was good, sleek black vehicle with those neat compartments for weapons, action features, etc. all good stuff.
The take off and landing mode is cool too but, yes, the landing gear had terrible friction on my model. The feet kept falling off if you gripped it wrong. Other areas too have bad clutch.
It's different and neat but tough for kids to 'grab' and hold for swooshability.

By in Sweden,

I remember when I saw a commercial for a game and I wanted that game so bad. My father got it for me, now thinking back at it it’s pretty weird. The game was called the force unleashed (the first one from 2008) it has a age rating of 16, I was like 5-7 then! Maybe not a big thing because my neighbor was like 3 when he first played Star Wars battlefront. Anyway after I got this I got a book from my grandma (Lego Star Wars “something”) and in that I saw all the sets. One I really wanted was this set, I really wanted that Darth Vader! Then I noticed that the set was not for sale in shops anymore (I didn’t know about Bricklink, was it big back then as well? I believe the creator of bricklink died around that time). I might get that set one day, maybe.

This set is for sure on my hit-list of sets I plan to buy, loved the first game and it's really cool to see it featured here!

I was impressed with this set, it's just such a shame that Disney have scrapped the whole of the Expanded Universe in favour of their absolutely shockingly terrible insult to the Star Wars universe. At least I still have my EU books to enjoy. Re-reading Karen Traviss, Timothy Zahn etc will always be better than watching Dizzzney's The Force Falls Asleep (and wilts into the distance like the text at the beginning of each film). Currently re-reading Choices of One, if only Disney had kept loyal to these stories - the Hand of Judgment with Mara-Jade could have been some really good sets.

Prime example of the old saying 'Licensed Lego is only as good as its source material'. Force Unleashed was a terrible game, and this ship was a terrible design that couldn't be salvaged into anything decent by Lego. It's like a kitbash lacking all the things that makes kitbashes good.

Was barely any interior space (and what was provided was lacklustre and too small to fit two minifigs) to boot. Still, top marks for the minifigs; Starkiller especially feels like classic Lego brought into a new age

A display piece. Things fall off, it attracts fingerprints and dust like some kind of weird magnet and the landing gear is troublesome. The style seems more suited to a Trek movie than the Star Wars universe. I admittedly only bought it for the minifigures.

It's true all those black panels catch dust as never. But I never ever had any problems with landing gear friction nor parts falling apart... The only matter I didn't like was about the "windscreen" not closing tight enough for me, I solved this by adding two technic pins with towball on the beam that comes under... I have not played to the related video game so can't compare to the original one, but I love its rendition in lego.

Huh... Always someone who instantly jumps into some Star Wars conversation "The new canon sucks!!! Long live the EU!" You are aware Timothy Zahn is still writing new canon Star Wars books right? He has one canon book published, and a second one coming out in a few months. So using the argument "the EU rules because, Timothy!" is silly considering he has written books for Disney era Lucasfilm too. While they aren't writing new ones, none of the finished EU books have stopped being published... You can still go to a book store and pick up the Yuuzhan Vong saga sitting on the shelf next to the Battlefront books and Star Wars: Rebels books. The EU is non-canon, but by no means did it cease to exist or matter just because of that. It is decades worth of stories, that will continue to serve as inspiration for new Star Wars media for years to come.

And let me say it. Disney has done a fine job with the franchise. Bite me.

A random set of the day that I actually own!

By in Austria,

I did not like TFU for several reasons, the biggest being the re-write of the Rebellion's history - a change for the worse - and the Gary Stu main character. Also, the wildly inconsistent use of stealth tech is a legit criticism of the old canon. Zahn established rules, many others ignored them for the sake of being "cool".

I would have definitely bought this set, if the minifig designs had been better back then. Vader was ok, but Marek's face was just way too generic and Juno looks hideous.

I have this set, unopened, laying around in my LEGO room. I wonder how much its worth now.

I had this set when I was really young. Very nostalgic for me.

By in United States,

Now that I got my EU rant is out of the way... Back to Lego! I have this set. Not perfect, but it looks cool. Biggest issue is the cramped cockpit with only one seat. This isn't some glamorous Tie fighter, its supposed to be more like a stealthy private jet. I wish there was more interior space. Maybe get rid of one of the missile bays to actually have a place for Galen to sit down while Juno is flying the ship around!

Damaged Darth Vader is cool though. A May 4 polybag remake of the figure would be awesome!

Star Wars fan fight. Yawn.

This set always reminded me of the Fury-class Interceptor, but with none of its sleek sexiness. Also: Battle-damaged Vader does not look good. I wish they'd made a proper damaged helmet mould rather than half printing it on his head.

By in Finland,

I remember I got this set even when I had never heard of Force Unleashed. Minifigures weren't so great as Juno's face was printed off as her both eyes were too left, and damaged Vader's neck was super long when wearing the visior as neck piece, but it was the first Vader I had so I liked it. Vader's Apprentice was super generic looking but it was cool antihero for a kid like me.

By in Puerto Rico,

The games are fun but the ship has a few hiccups, there isn't any Proxy droid, no space to seat them both and both the landing gear and flaps need work.

By in United States,

This set remains on my Wanted List and will continue to do so until I see it for a reasonable price on the aftermarket. I was able to get Juno Eclipse for only 5.00 or so on her own, and thought she was such a cool (and maybe only) female Imperial officer minifigure, and her character is interesting in the story. I've never played the game but watched all the cut-scenes and actually thought it was a good story arc. Even if I never get the set I still want Starkiller (such a cool reference to Lucas' original screenplay) and would like damaged Vader, although the damaged version of him in Emporer Palpatine's Shuttle-8096 was better (yes I know that battle damage was inflicted by an entirely different battle lol - you cannot match my nerd knowledge :).

By in United States,

I oggled over this baby so much as a kid. Never managed to get ahold of it, but I did play both Force Unleashed games and got a magnet kit with the Battle Damaged Darth Vader (excellent minifig) to try and capture its magic!

By in Germany,

This thing is so ugly, I just can't get over that. The ship's design is already not a great one, and the set doesn't do it any favours.

Have anymore rumors come out about the UCS sets this year?
