Although those 17 town set releases did include quite a few limited/US only releases. There were 10 new Town sets released in the Australian market that year.
Old school classic town, there.
Loved this set and it was a great addition to my firehouse. It helped stop many fires in my Lego city
Loved this one back when it came out. Fun features and great colours.
This and the 6611 Fire Chief's Car.
@Huw this is a great feature to Brickset. Thank you for adding it!
It’s very hard to describe the sensation of seeing a set you had all those years ago that you had long forgotten and not seen in many-a-year.
I literally shouted out loud (to no one), “I had that!”
I too had this set . Technically I still do. The parts are all still in my old Lego boxes which my sons play with. I haven't built it in more than 30 years though.
Very fond memories of this set: it was one of my two very first Lego system sets (I only had Duplo before this one)!
One of my first and favourite models too. Stickers are still okay on the minifigs, having seen all kinds of hardships!
My first ever Lego set, loved it. Still in the loft somewhere.
I remember desperately wanting this set as a kid, but never got it. 3 yellow "rollbars"! Finally got a copy last year, it's as good as my kid self remembers thinking it would be.
Wow, I remember having this is a kid. I honestly wouldn't have remembered if this post didn't go up.
I have a sealed one I bought off eBay maybe about 10 years ago. I won it for $18; I think it helped that the seller didn't mention LEGO in the item, just the number. And I remember having to pay with a money order!
"Snorkel Pumper" seems a very odd name! Why not just Fire Truck or Fire Engine?
I bought the Snorkel Pumper video in Amsterdam a few years back.
