Aaah... That is where the yellow and red striped tiles are from. I have seen them in a picture somewhere, but I only knew the white and red striped ones (from 6601 Ice Cream Cart).

I think the tiles with the flower and apple would do great as pictures/paintings in a home if one should find them.

Finally a set I own. (Ok, I do own some of the other random sets as well). Huw, why not Pre-minifig-era?). i love this old Scala stuff, so many pieces, which were only used in those sets!

Heh. Lego as jewellery. Well, we've definitely ticked the 'random' box today.

Interesting how long Scala was a thing, though. This is a set from the 70s, and the other day, we had a Scala-line set from the turn of the millennium. Forget these current three-year turnarounds. Lego *really* didn't give up on Scala, did they?

They did give up Scala. These jewellery set were only released in 1979 and 1980. The second series of Scala was released in 1997-2001 and consisted of dolls including a doll house and clothing for the dolls. Only the name and and the gender of the target group was the same.

I think the early Scala sets are pretty neat and wish we owned them. 2 of 3 and 3 of 3 would love them. 1 of 3 would have loved them before she went to school and became an official tomboy, but I think she would still secretly play with them in the secrecy of the home away from her peers.

My sister had https://brickset.com/sets/308-1/Bracelet. Strangely enough pieces of this set wound up in the drawer of the table in my livingroom. Sitting 3 feet away from them at this moment.

Does the word 'scala' mean anything in Danish as the name was used twice but for two completely different ranges? An odd piece of jewellery buy those printed tiles are absolutely gorgeous!

It means "scale", e.g. a scale in music or for measuring. I cannot think of anything particular that should link the word to a girl's toy, except it sounds a big grandiose like "La Scala" in Milan.

Almost mistakenly took this for a Kinder product.
