Today's random set is 4707 Hagrid's Hut, released in 2001. It's one of 11 Harry Potter sets produced that year. It contains 299 pieces and 2 minifigs, and its retail price was US$30/£24.99.
It's owned by 2910 Brickset members. If you want to add it to your collection you might find it for sale at BrickLink or eBay.

I never really got why this hut got multiple sets. Sure, it is important to some scenes, but it is still just a hut.
Hard to believe the first movie is 17 years old!!! Very greatful Lego has decided to release new sets but nothing will beat these original sets.
I'm not gonna lie, I thought the first round of Harry Potter sets were pretty bad. Like, not just slightly bad, but really bad (but I thought the same thing about the first run of SW sets too). I remember buying the original Hogwarts Express, and it requiring a *lot* of rebuilding to actually get a decent train out of it.
But the HP line got somewhere brilliant eventually (I adore my castle set up with 4842/4841), and I guess they had to start somewhere.
I remember when my sister, in grad school at the time, bought the first wave of Harry Potter sets. I was amazed that a responsible adult could buy Lego sets for herself. Eventually she decided she was too responsible to spend money that way. That was probably a good choice, but I haven't yet made that choice myself.
My wife has this and heaps more of the original Harry Potter theme, have to replace the elastic band every couple of years but a great set
Loved this set, great memories from many years back.
The first wave of HP sets where released when Lego was in a dark place and made mostly plastic junk, but the HP sets where some of the better things they made at the time..
Now on the other hand Lego have been making great sets for many years and some real gems among them, so I am very excited to see what the HP sets will turn out like this year ;)
I loved the first wave of Harry Potter sets, and this was one of the first sets I got that had interesting building techniques used to create non-rectangular geometry. Great memories!
I was in my dark ages at the time, so unfortunately don't have any of the old HP sets.

The new ones are a must buy. Can't even imagine what we can expect with today's techniques, colors and molds. The D2C castle will be a blast.
Sometimes I feel like brickset comments are a competition to show off how much you know about leaks.
What were those large roof pieces made from? Were they cardboard or plastic?
@JonMarten, the roof was a single printed flexible plastic sheet that you had to crease into sections. It was held in place at the bottom by pegs and held closed at the top by an elastic band. It was pretty rubbish really, but probably the best they could do at that price point with the piece selection at the time.
The roof on this set always drives me crazy when trying to set it up, and I lost the elastic bands.
The early Harry Potter sets had way too many large one time use pieces.
I was in my dark age when this set came out but I don't mind missing it. That roof design is terrible
I did manage to pick up the 2004 version on ebay back when I started collecting LEGO again in 2006/07. I'm looking forward to the new HP sets coming out this year.
