Hi, I’m Thoth, a Swiss-born, Austrian-based, minimal artist with a background in design; preferably working with Sumi ink and mineral pigments on Japanese Washi paper. My paintings (and prints) are abstract, gestural and minimal, equally related to Asian aesthetics and philosophies (such as Zen Buddhism, Taoism, Shodo and Wab-Sabi to mention a few) and Western art movements like Abstract Expressionism and Postminimalism.
