Garden: climbers & vines

By late spring, trellises can be covered with wisteria, rose, clematis and honeysuckle. Different varieties flower until autumn. Golden hop and Virginia creeper bring welcome leaf color. Clematis cirrhosa 'Jingle Bells' once established, will ensure Christmas flowers. Once frosts bites, the fragrance of winter-flowering jasmine hints that spring is round the corner.

Clematis Climbing Wall - I'm getting trellises for the windowless main floor level of the house. Maybe 3 contrasting intertwined clematis on an extra wide, taller trellis in the middle and honeysuckle on each side? I love the daylilies at the bottom.

John Davis is one of the Canadian Explorer Series, hardy to zone 3. I don't have enough sun to grow roses on my trellises of clematis, so I'll plant a pink rose shaped clematis with a blue star shaped one.
