Incoming!! Taking candy from a baby? . The Common Terns have a breeding colony a couple of miles from here, and every now and then I check up on them. They stick together as a group to be safer from predators - But that doesn’t mean life is simple for the young chicks! This little chick just got a nice fish for dinner from his mommy. But a greedy aunt is coming in hot to take it away 😮 . The Dutch name for these birds is ‘Visdief’, which translates to ‘Fish Thief’. Mainly because they dive in the water to catch their fish, but I think this clip gives plenty credit to the name as well 😅 .
