This adorable baby cardigan is knit from the top down starting with the neck, raglan increase, body and sleeves; no seaming required. The body features a versatile Estonian Button Stitch pattern that looks great on both boys and girls. The pattern calls for lightweight (3) yarn and is knit using US4 and US6 needles. Pattern is for size 0-6 months and makes a wonderful baby shower gift.

This cardigan is worked with raglan shaping from the top down in stocking stitch. In this pattern the sleeves are knitted flat, but if are a more experienced knitter you can easily work them in the round using double pointed needles. The buttons/buttonholes bands are picked up and worked after the body is knitted. Stitch counting charts for the raglan increases are given for each size in the pattern. #cardiganknittingpattern #babyknittingpattern
