Francois de Baradas (1602-1684), an officer of the royal household, became a favorite/mignon of Louis XIII from 1624 to 1626 when Baradas overstepped his own power with the King. They were rumored to have had a sexual relationship that ended when Baradas had dalliances with several military officers in Nantes. (1639 engraving of an unknown man by Abraham Bosse)
