Leah Clancy | Senior Photographer on Instagram: "My style when I approach group photo shoots with teens is more of a documentary vibe. I do get the images of all of them standing together, but the ones that I love and the ones that they end up really loving are when they’re laughing and interacting with each other. One of the ways that I get them to do this is to walk towards me or run towards me, or I get on the ground and I shoot upwards at them while they’re laughing. Just seeing me lay on the ground makes them laugh! So if you have a prom coming up, I encourage you to pull these kids off of the walls , stairs or the garage door backgrounds that you see in most photo shoots. Send them out into the yard or into the street and just have them be goofy and funny and focus on having fun."
