4th of July Trifle Dessert great for Summer gatherings | dessert, trifle, summer | 4th of July Trifle Dessert great for Summer gatherings | By Robyn Q | I'm adding three fourths of sugar to two 8 ounce blocks of cream cheese. Beat that up. And I've got my cream cheese at room temperature. I'm add about a half a teaspoon of vanilla and then two cups of heavy whipping cream. Okay, we're going to heat that so it comes together. Now, take two to 3 minutes. Alright, this looks great. Nice and creamy. This is exactly what you want. Perfect. Alright. The next thing we're going to make is a lemon syrup. So, I have a fourth of a cup of water and just a couple tablespoons of sugar. I'm going to juice one lemon in it and we're going to whisk that together that smells really good. I love the smell of lemon. Okay. We're just going to whisk that together till the sugar is dissolved. And then we've got our lemon syrup done. Okay we have our pound cake diced. I'm just going to kind of divide that in three. One third of my diced pound cake to the bottom and then I'm going to add about a third of my lemon syrup to the top. Then a third of our cream mixture on top of that. Maybe one more scoopful. Alright so I'm going to add a half a pound of strawberries right on top of that. Obviously I've washed them and quartered them. Good. Back to our pound cake. Another third on top of that. And then I'm going to add again some of that nice lemon syrup on top of that. And then back to our cream mixture. Another third. A little bit more. This time we're going to add blueberries. Half a pound of them which have been washed. So I'm going to sprinkle them in. Oh those look like great blueberries. Alright. Now our last bit of our pound cake goes on top of that. And our last bit of our lemon syrup goes on top of that and the last of our cream mixture goes on top of that. Okay, almost done with this. Super fast. Super fun for the 4th of July. And it'll be delicious for sure. Alright, so the first thing we're going to do is outline our star. Some blueberries. Then we'll fill that in. And if you don't like blueberries, you can use blackberries, whatever you like. How fun is this? You can do this as a family. It's a nice thing to make together. Okay so I'm just going to fill in my blueberries a little bit and then we're going to do our strawberries. Just going to add them in and fill in this part that we have opened. You guys have to let me know if you've made anything like this before. I'd love to hear. Alright look at that. Our Fourth of July trifle. I think they'll look so pretty. You can see all the berries along the side. How pretty is that? I'm excited to try this. Alright, Fourth of July Trifle. So excited to try it. Okay. Feels delicious. Mm mm mm. I love that lemon and the pound cake and the berries and that cream. Delicious. Hope you guys try it for the fourth.

You gotta try this light & delicious dessert 🤯 | You gotta try this light & delicious dessert 🤯 | By Randy | Alright, so I've baked this Duncan Hines perfectly moist spice cake and I put it in a nine by thirteen pan and I've just cut it up into nice little cubes. So, I'm going to show you the next step for our dessert. Alright, we want to start with two packages of cream cheese. These have been sitting out softening up. There we go. Alright, next we want to add our pumpkin. This is a 15-ounce can of pure pumpkin We're going to put that into our mixture. One cup of powdered sugar. Okay? Now we're going to add two teaspoons of pumpkin spice. One teaspoon of vanilla extract. Okay, now I'm going to take my mixer and I'm going to mix this all up. Okie doke. Alright, that looks pretty good to me. So, let's take our spatula and just blend this all together. Nice and smooth as smooth as we can get it. Okay, so now we're going to add some cool whip. We're going to do one container and we're going to fold that right into our mixture. Get the whole container. Can't have dessert without Cool Whip and now I'm just going to fold it in mix it all together. Gonna be nice and creamy. Cool. Spices. Yum. Pumpkin. We want a nice, smooth consistency here. Alright, this looks great. Oh, it's delicious. Alright, now we're going to show you how to put this all together. Alright. We're going to start by taking a third of our cake. Just going to grab a handful here. We want to line the the bottom of our trifle dish. Yeah. Beautiful and this is a really moist cake. Yup. Smells delish. A few more. Nice and fluffy. Alright. So, we're just going to want to like line the bottom. Spread them out evenly. Okay. Now, I'm going to do a drizzle of this caramel sauce. Mmm, okay. Just going to give our cake a nice drizzle on the top. Yum. It's beautiful. Alright. Now, I've got some toasted pecans. I've actually toasted these in the oven for about 6 minutes. That just releases all the oils and make some more flavorful. So, we're going to just give that a good sprinkle on top. It's going to be beautiful. Alright. So, now we take our cream cheese mixture. Our pumpkin filling and this is where it really comes together. I'm going to take about of this here. Just put it right on top. Wow. It's just. I'm going to gently spread it and try not to make a mess. Want to get it all over our cake make it look really pretty. Okay, so now we want to repeat our process. We're going to add another third of the cake. Excuse my hands here. Yeah, get in there. Yeah. My hands are clean. I wash them. Witness. Yup. Yeah. Just place them in exactly however you want. Okay and now we're going to repeat the caramel step. Nice drizzle. Add however you however much you want if you like a caramel if you don't skip that step yes alright now we're going to add our nuts I love the nuts they add a nice crunch these are unsalted pecans okay or is it pecan I'm not sure pecan or pecan all these worms yeah Okay, let's just push it all down a little bit. Uh huh. One more layer. One more. The layers. And it seems like a lot but I think we're going to be able to get it all in here. Poop. And the last the last spoonful. Wow. Now, we're just going to gently smooth it out. This thing is going to be overflowing but that's okay. That's what we want. Yup, you can see it all just kind of settling in together. Yup. Okay. So, now we're going to add some more cool up to the top of this. Okay. So, you want to see that pretty layer. Just a big nice big scoop. Mm hmm. Spread that out. Now, you could stop here if you wanted to but I'm not going to. Nope. I'm going to keep going with this. Can't stop, won't stop. Nope. And it depends on how big your trifle dishes too. Very true. But I'm going to add a little bit more of my cake. Okay. That is one big shake. Yeah and you can just kind of press it down at this point too. Make sure it all fits in our bowl. Yup. Okay. So, of course, we have to have another drizzle of this and the rest of our nuts. We go nuts for nuts. Yeah, we sure do and this is about one cup of nuts that I'm using in this whole thing but you can use however many you like. Definitely needs a topping. Mm hmm. So, we're just going to top it off with more cool whip. That is cake fit for a king. Oh yes. Just kind of be gentle Make it look pretty. Mm hmm. It's a gentle cake. But also you don't have to be perfect either because it's just However you want to do it. Mm hmm. So, I've reserved some of our nuts for our topping. And just sprinkle the top Beautiful garnish. Mm hmm. Go back to my caramel I'm just going to try to do a pretty swirly swirly swirl curly cue yeah and for our final edition ginger snaps these are my favorite huh and you can kind of just line them up however you like I'm just going to kind of go around my edges here This is looking so good. One more. Alright, perfect. Alright, the last touch. Wow. One more snap. Perfect decoration. Isn't this beautiful? Uh huh. Can't wait to dig in. Uh huh. We gotta let this chill for a couple hours though unfortunately. Uh okay. Well, then we'll scoop into it. We'll see how it taste. Yeah. It's great. Alright. So, this has been chilling in the fridge. It's nice and cool. Mm hmm. So now, let's go in for a sample here. Uh huh. It's like so pretty. I don't even want to mess it up. I know. So, just take a big big scoopful here. We would definitely want some of that ginger snap but then we also gotta dig down for some of that cake. Right. Wow. That looks so delicious. Alright, let's go for a bite. Mm hmm. Okay, let's get a little bit of everything. Some of that pumpkins, some of those nuts. Mm hmm. Alright. Hm.
