This is still the winning pic of my concept of what the kitchen island would look like, facing the living room (even though I want the whole surface to be at the same level).
Sunny Breakfast Nook - I want one of these, but bigger. Have you seen the monstrosity that is our current porch gone bad? Windows that open, lots of light and a fireplace. The patio is nice too!
