a plastic container filled with lots of different items
Heather Tenneson on Instagram: "Make a Halloween sensory bin with me! For the base, we used some black beans and red lentils, which look orange (I had made a fall bun with lots of different beans, so I left a few of those in there). We added some festive pom poms, some mini Halloween buckets, a cute little bat cookie cutter, and skeleton hands. Most of this can be found at the Dollar Tree or Pop Self. Sensory play is hours of entertainment for my kids, even the big girls. It’s my favorite thing to pull out when they’re starting to get bored or antsy. It’s so much fun watching them use their imaginations to come up with different scenarios or games. It’s calming, open ended, and encourages them to think creatively. If you make a Halloween sensory bin, please tag me, I’d love to see it!

Heather Tenneson on Instagram: "We only have a couple more evenings without plans before Halloween, so I planned a Nightmare Before Christmas dinner and movie night for the family. The kids helped make the Sally cookies and the Jack Skellington pizza. They also enjoyed brewing up some bubbly frog’s breath (what’s more suspicious than frog’s breath? 🐸) This time I merged fun dinner ideas from @thefairytalefoodie and @pixiedustandposies, and there was something for the entire family to enjoy. #nightmarebeforechristmas #nightmarebeforechristmasdinner #halloweendinnerandamovie #jackskellington #jackskellingtonpizza #dinnerandamovie #disneydinnerandamovie"
