11 Herbal Alternatives to Antibiotics
Oftentimes, the world’s best medications are not the ones developed in labs, but rather the ones made by Mother Nature. For thousands of years, mankind has relied on various herbs to treat a wide range of conditions. I was always nervous and intimidated by it but the amount of plastic containers I waste monthly on yogurt was really bothering me as most of our plastic doesn’t actually get recycled. My mom encouraged me to try and I cannot emphasis more HOW EASY it was. She guided me with simple steps below: *DO NOT STIR DURING ENTIRE PROCESS* 1. Use a big pot that can hold more than a gallon 2. Wet pot (to preveny from burning) 3. Pour 1 gallon of your favorite milk in pot 4. Set burner on low and bring to boil 5. Turn off burner then finger test till milk is not burning but not warm. A happy medium- you’ll figure it out! 6. Then add 3 hardy tbsp of your favorite yogurt 7. Do not stir. Put lid on and move to quiet dark spot (I chose oven) for 15-20 hrs. 8. Then move to refrigerator and leave in fridge for 5-6 hrs (the longer in fridge, the thicker. 9. The thick coagulation of cream on top is the best part, scrap that part off and eat it like dessert then put remaining yogurt in containers! You can repeat this process when you’re almost out of yogurt, get milk in a glass or cardboard carton and use 3 scoops of the yogurt you initial made. You can repeat that process indefinitely eliminating plastic containers we buy for yogurt! 🙌🏽 PS @alexandrefamilyfarm is my favorite milk to purchase from. A2 greatness 🥛 🐄 and we use @blueland hand soap, dish washer soap, laundry detergent, toilet cleaner and all surface cleaners at our house! #homemadeyogurt | Mona B. | The Prickly Pear | MGMT · Time to Pretend (Super Clean Version)
