50s Black Party Dress with Velvet Bodice and Tiered Skirt

Stunning black cocktail/party dress from the 1950s 50s. Velvet bodice and full skirt with tiers of tight pleats and velvet ribbons. The colors of the bodice and the skirt are more similar than appears in photos, meaning there is less contrast between the shades of black. We recommend wearing it with a crinoline (photos are taken with one) to highlight the gorgeous shape. Same pleats at neckline with cutout detail. This is a truly special piece, wonderful condition, perfect for a formal event or fancy holiday party! Excellent vintage condition, best for a modern XS.
