Here is a fun bit of trivia April 11 1953 the first known published Recipe for making Nanaimo bars appears in the #Vancouver Sun. I do like the name #Nanaimo bars better the London Smog. Edith Adams was a popular homemaker/columnist at the time and this was the winner of a contest she ran (the winner got $1). It is believed that it first showed up in the Nanaimo Hospital Auxiliary cookbook but that has not been verified.0 I do like the things but find them VERY sweet now that is why I just buy
