When Brian Michael Bendis announced his Wonder Comics imprint, most eyes went directly to the Young Justice book. However, some are surely interested in Mark Russell and Stephen Byrne's Wonder Twins book. We will have to wait and see if this book is in line with some of Russell's previous work at DC like Prez, the Flinstones, and the Snagglepuss Chronicles, but I am sure there will be plenty of social commentary. The Wonder Twins are a fictional extraterrestrial twin brother and sister superhero duo who first appeared in Hanna-Barbera's American animated television series The All-New Super Friends Hour. The pair can activate their superpowers by touching their rings and saying the phrase "Wonder Twin powers, activate!" Jayna can transform into any animal, and Zan can become water in any state. The pair also have a pet monkey, Gleek, who assists in their crime-fighting activities.
