Stephen Ray Perry was born on January 22, 1949 at 6:05 in the evening. He grew up in Lemore, California where he attended and graduated from Lemore High School. He worked on his stepfather's turkey ranch as a carpenter and at 18 he left for Los Angeles to fulfill his dream of being a singer. Happy Birthday Steve

Here's a great magazine that was just released in England, Classic Rock Presents AOR. There is a great long article titled "The Story Of Infinity" with pictures and more. This is a must have! The magazine comes in a great envelope with an updated Infinity logo. Also included is an article about touring with the band in 1979. There will be a later post showing more once I've had a chance to read the magazine.

Evolution was the fifth studio album by Journey and the second album to feature Steve Perry on Vocals. Evolution was recorded at Cherokee Studios in Los Angeles in October and November of 1978. The album was released on April 5, 1979 and made it to #20 on the Billboard charts. To date Evolution has been certified 3X Platinum (+3,000,000 albums sold).
