Truss bridge

Explore a collection of incredible truss bridge designs that showcase the beauty and ingenuity of structural engineering. Discover how these bridges combine strength and elegance to create iconic landmarks.
Ponting's Footbridge Tremerje is a space truss structure in a form of a suspension bridge, giving it its unique character. The bridge crosses the River Savinja in a span of 80 m. In total, the bridge is 92 m long. Due to the high water, the load-bearing structure is above the deck. In the open space between the lush overgrown banks, which offer the most beautiful views of the river, we wanted as little structure as possible, and the client did not want a suspension bridge due to deformability. What is truss bridge? Truss bridge is a bridge composed of connected elements (typically straight) which may be stressed from tension, compression, or sometimes both in response to dynamic loads. Truss bridges are one of the oldest types of modern bridges. Truss bridge is economical to construct owing to its efficient use of materials COMPONENT PARTS OF A typical TRUSS BRIDGE – elevation view COMPONENT PARTS OF A typical TRUSS BRIDGE – isometric view Ilustration mass loading of truss bridge…
