Here is a list of must haves that I bring with me on a typical day of substitute teaching! I have a medium sized tote bag that I bring all of my must haves in. A substitute teacher has to be prepared for anything. Here is a glimpse into what I carry for jobs. I have supplies, snacks, water, rewards like stickers and certificates, emergency items like gloves and bandaids, business cards, extra lessons for the appropriate grade level, name plates for desks, and a "While you were out" form for the permanent teacher.

To make your morning less stressful, you should have your bag of tricks packed. These items should always be in every substitute teacher bag.
