✨I love gate pose & modified side plank together. This warm up builds up to them  through gate pose legs , hip circles, & rocking back & forth. I love the thread the needle towards the end & you can play around with different arm variations there as well. For an eagle flow I would offer eagle arms and then fold instead of the thread the needle variation. Do you enjoy a bind in thread the needle? I always offer it as an additional option for students who like to bind.

Try this circular flow I’ve been playing with this week. I actually taught this as a ladder mandala flow which increased the length & intensity of the flow. It’s strong, yet steady and is a sequence that will leave you feeling refreshed and energised! You can practice the full 30 minute ladder flow with me on my YouTube channel - NOW LIVE! 🥳

This is all well and good, but if we always practice in this way, our brains get used to the movement, meaning we can lose focus.   Last week I decided to switch it up, working with a mandala flow. “Mandala” is a Sanskrit word that means “complete” or “circle.”  We moved all around the mat, transitioning through poses in different ways to make the journey. The back of the mat becomes the front, we have a different view point, and we are pushed out of that comfortable linear style of moving.
