Sleepy animals

This is not your bed. These adorable dog photos of pooches bunking where their masters lie proves that when you're not around, it's a dog's world!

We've all seen a puppy, worn out from exploring but not yet able to admit it, trying desperately to stay alert whilst struggling to keep its little brown eyes from closing. The blinks slow right down, lasting longer and longer while its head slowly droops, perhaps a tongue will come lolling out of the mouth and then finally... plop. Puppy goes to sleep right there and then.

Today the UK celebrates its second Ferret Day - an annual event held every May 5th to raise awareness about these exotic pets. These adorable animals have been working with humans (and sometimes against them by stealing chickens) for over 2500 years, and ferret racing is still prevalent in rural fairs.
