Skylight Group, historically a venue management company with event spaces in Brooklyn, SoHo and Midtown, is forming a partnership with Emursive, the producers of "Sleep No More," to create private event experiences at the McKittrick Hotel, a 100,000-square-foot space where the Off-Broadway show currently resides.

In 2011, Emursive and Punchdrunk, two theater companies, came together to produce Sleep No More, which was probably the most original theatrical experience in New York history. It’s an immersive play. Do not expect a stage with an audience. You are free to walk independently and follow the cast members as you wish. Each actor tells his own story, with other actors telling stories interconnected simultaneously in other rooms and other floors.

Founded in 2000 by Felix Barrett, Punchdrunk is the game-changing pioneer of "immersive" theater, in which audiences are decanted into a set to wander at will and experience close encounters with intersecting plots.

Sleep No More, a New York off-Broadway production, is interactive theatre. All participants are instructed to wear a mask and explore the set and watch the story unfold before their eyes.
