My friend Gaby invited me over for Desayuno Salvadoreño (or Salvadoran Breakfast!) Here is our menu and what we ate, from horchata to handmade tortillas.

You can find desayuno chapin, or Guatemalan breakfast, just about anywhere in Guatemala for a good reason: it’s delicious! This popular morning meal features plantains, eggs, and more filling dishes that are sure to give you the energy you need to power through the day!

Autentico desayuno Salvadoreño...sooo good! Creama, plantains,refried small red beans, avocado and scrambled eggs with salsa.

If you haven't had these, it's a must! These are normally served at birthday parties or during the holidays. They are made with shredded chicken sauted with onion, pepper, garlic and tomato. Then they are mixed with shredded cabbage, carrots, mayo and mustard.
