Serves 1Ingredients:Rice Boiling water Instructions:Wash rice thoroughly and drain the water. Place rice into a Thermos® Food Jar and pour boiling water till three-quarter full. Close the lid to preheat the food jar for 5 seconds and drain out the water from the food jar. Re-pour boiling water into the food jar till three quarter-full and close the lid tightly. Bland Diet: Rice Porridge  1 cup short/medium grain rice, 8 cups water or broth 1 lb ground or cut into bite size - chicken, beef, pork, turkey (lean – no skin or fat), 1 tbs turmeric, 1 tbs ginger  1. Bring liquid and rice to a boil. 2. Simmer covered for 2-3 hours – stir occasionally to break up rice. 3. When liquid is almost absorbed, add meat and continue to simmer until cooked. Porridge should be smooth, not watery when done. 4. Feed in several small meals during the day.
