Here’s the breakdown:
👉I recommend a double cleanse for most people, which is especially important if you wear makeup, sunscreen, or sweat. The first cleanser (can be micellar water or cleansing balm/oil) helps to remove makeup (or SPF) while the second cleanser truly CLEANSES the skin

👉essence or toner is optional but a good way to increase the absorption of other skincare products

👉retinol before thicker serums like HA is the way to go for most people BUT if you have trouble tolerating a retinoid, try applying your HA first as a barrier (also consider the retinol sandwich method 🥪 — see my last reel for a detailed how-to)

👉try misting your skin with a thermal spring water (not included here) Makeup Sunscreen, Makeup Remover Balm, Nighttime Skincare Routine, Thermal Spring Water, Diy Makeup Remover, Double Cleanse, Skin Essence, Retinol Eye Cream, Face Routine

1. Beginners
- If you have dry, oily or combination skin you can use retinols. Dry skin needs to be a bit more careful though
- Start with a veryyy low strength retinol like the @foxtaleskin 0.15% retinol serum
- Start with only one or two times a week. Only at night.
- Use sandwich method: A layer of moisturizer then retinol then moisturizer again.

2. Non-beginners
- You can use retinols like The minimalist 0.3% retinol serum
- Can avoid the sandwich method if not a beginner
- Can use 6 times a week with one night break

3. For tretinoin users
- The only time you should use this is if prescribed by a dermat
- Use the sandwich method if a beginner. No need if you are used to
- Only use a small pea-siz Serum, Retinol Serum, Combination Skin, Cheat Sheet, One Night, Cheat Sheets, Retinol, Dry Skin, At Night

if you’re new to retinol or find that it makes your skin angry and flaky, it’s time to try the 🥪sandwich method🥪 applying your pea-sized amount of retinol in between a light layer of moisturizer creates a barrier of hydration to ease some of the irritation that retinol can produce. ↳ this can be a great way to transition from 1-2x a week application to nightly use with the eventual goal being to remove that first layer of moisturizer #SkinEO #yourskinCEO #skinwithPaige #vaaesthetician #li...
