This is an oil painting I did over Thanksgiving holiday at my parents house. I was assigned to do a painting of someone's reflection painted in an analogous color palette. About the Work A female figure is depicted in a moment of introspection, resulting in the recognition of boredom. The monotony resulting from constant self-occupation is hinted through the bored and distant gaze, and the visage’s broken reflection in the water.
