My overall direction was inspired by @the_curated_attic and her iconic oak bases and dark moody colors. As soon as I got this dresser I knew it’d be the perfect candidate. I finally managed to film most all the steps, except of course the base, which I promise I’ll do once I do more of these. But feel free to ask me any questions about the process I took for the dresser makeover. So now the owner has a whole set! To get this look you’ll need: A large paint brush (like a deck staining brush) A smaller brush (1/2-1inch) A few artist brushes (for touch ups and little spaces) A brown glaze (I used rustoleum decorative glaze jn Java brown) A base color (any color works that’s lighter then the glaze, you can use white, beige, gray, mocha) I like to change up the grain pattern to mimic natural grain.
