Every year thousands of Greek women buy up all of the red egg dye in order to turn their eggs the traditional blood red color of Greek Easter eggs. This year I decided to try to make my own dye with onion skins, and it turned out pretty well! I also used some herbs from my garden and a couple old pairs of nylon stockings to "stencil" an imprint of the herbs onto a few of the eggs.
