Rajasthani 'KAVAD' Art.This craft is used for story telling in rural Rajasthan. In this art form, multi-layered wooden boxes which opens up into little doors and inside ,there are colourfully painted illustrations which usually tells a mythological storyfrom a great mythology,the Ramayana or Mahabharata.The story-teller opens them in sequence with the events in his narration. After story ends,audience is asked to place a donation in small drawer at the bottom.
