Turtle Head ... the real thing
An Eastern Painted Turtle sunning itself next to our swimming pond at Distant Hill Gardens. Turtle Head (Chelone) is a genus of four species of perennial plants native to eastern North America, that have flowers that resembles a turtles head. Here is a photo of in the garden.
