Nature Made vitamins on Instagram: "#DYK that you can make your own almond milk (or any nut milk, really) at home? 🥛 Whether you prefer almond, cashew, or oat milk, this is sure be the most popular drink in your fridge. 

Recipe:
2 cups raw almonds, raw cashews or rolled oats
8 cups spring water
3 pitted dates

How-To:
- The oats do not require overnight soaking, however the almonds and cashews do (soak in cold water)
- Strain, rinse, then add to a high-powered blender along with the water and dates
- Blend at low speed for 1 minute (do not over-blend)
- Strain with a cheesecloth and mesh strainer
- Pour into a bottle and refrigerate.
- Optional ingredients to enhance taste: ¼ tsp salt, 1 tsp vanilla extract (added during blending).

Ingredients

Milky Date Caramel
-½ cup pitted dates
-3 tbsp almond butter
-½ cup coconut milk (any milk of your choice)
-pinch of salt

Oats
-4 tbsp chia seeds
-1.5 cups oats
-2.5 cups milk of your choice 
-2 diced bananas
-8 tbsp soy yogurt (or regular yogurt, even coconut cream will work)
-sprinkle cacao powder (optional)

Method 
1. Cover the dates in boiling water, and let them soak for 30 minutes.

2. Add the dates, almond butter, milk, and pinch of salt to a small blender, and blend until smooth.

3. Combine the chia seeds, oats, milk, and 1 diced banana. Allow setting in the fridge overnight.

Here Comes Ramadan Episode 25 - The Sehri Smoothie 🥤

Ingredients (makes 1 tall glass)
7 almonds
5 pistachios 
4 cashew nuts
1 tbsp chia seeds
5 makhanas
1 large date
¾ cup milk
2 tbsp oats
5 frozen strawberries
1 medium banana 
2 tbsp greek yogurt 
1 tsp honey (optional)
¾ cup ice

• Soak the almonds, pistachios and cashew nuts in water for at least 30 min. Overnight preferred. Then drain the water 
• Soak the chia seeds, makhanas, date and oats in milk for 30 minutes/overnight 
• In a blender add the nuts, milk mixture and all the remaining ingredients. Blend till smooth and creamy

1/2 banana 
1 tsp flaxseed meal
Vanilla extract

Instructions 💕
Mix all ingredients together in a container with a lid. Place in the fridge overnight or just 15 minutes to firm up. When ready to use, in a greased pan spread pancake and cook on medium heat for about 3 minutes each side. Serve with favorite toppings and enjoy!
