Her current options: Neil Young’s "Harvest Moon," Modern English’s "I Melt With You," and Bright Eyes’ "First Day of My Life." Olivia Rodrigo's top priority right now? Overcoming the insane amount of pressure to match Sour — and maybe even top it. Enter Guts. — "The beginning was really hard. I felt like I couldn’t write a song without thinking about what other people were going to think of it. There were definitely days where I found myself sitting at the piano, excited to write a song, and then cried."

Olivia Rodrigo has thought a lot about avoiding the sophomore slum. "It’s not a complete reinvention of the first album, but it’s new and fresh," Rodrigo says. "We didn’t set out to reinvent the wheel."
