Mole plush

I was commissioned to make a Star-nosed Mole plush toy this summer. Star-nosed Moles are very strange looking creatures. The fleshy star shaped appendage on its nose is incredibly sensitive and it helps them find their food. It was a challenge to turn the weird fleshy nose into something cute and cuddly.

This is the 1st felt softie that I've made.I got the pattern from a book called "tiny toys". I changed the nose on it to represent a star-nosed mole that we found in our yard last year(it was creepy but I felt sorry for it since it's eyes were so tiny that it could not see where it was going).
