Mexican Sweet Buns (Conchas) - Sprinkle Bakes
"Conchas" are a type of Mexican sweet bread roll. They are recognizable by their shell-like shape, hence the name "concha," which means "shell" in Spanish. The sugar paste topping is made with margarine; this yields a crunchy, flaky texture. If you don’t have margarine, shortening will yield a similar result.
